Uri's Waterfront Dining-7365 Cedar St. Port Sanilac Mi.
On a recent daytrip to Port Huron. Diane and I did our usual stops at the local Meijer's and Kohl's department stores. As lunch time was nearing- we decided that we would drive north on Highway 25 to Lexington. A very pleasant winding drive! The main street looked fairly quiet- with most hotels closed! With Port Sanilac 15 miles further along the road we decided that we would 'chance' finding a possible lakeside restaurant-cafe. A very small town by description. We made our way to the lakefront. There we found 'Uri's. It serves as the 'hub' for the 'boaters'. With its dining room overlooking the harbor-and the lake beyond. It's a very appealing place -both to eat and watch the the lake freighters going to and from Port Huron. The menu had somthing for everyone. Fresh fish could be had. Michigan Walleye to Alaskan Cod. Pasta dishes were next-followed by build your own Burgers. Diane and I chose 'Irish Blue Nachoes'.All made from local ingredients. Very Very tasty!! For a choice of beer.Diane decided upon Michalob Ultra- while I had a bottle of Bluemoon . Unfortunately Uri's does'nt have beer on tap. But don't let this stop you from dropping by. It's a honest little 'pub' MWD
