Lions Head Inn -8 Helen Street Lions Head Ontario
The Lions Head Inn was reccommended to me by a Goderich local Reg Wandsworth. Through conversation with Reg- I learn that he and his family keep a 'small retreat' in the Lions Head area. Reg assured me that 'they serve cold beer'-with more than several to choose from.!! I left Goderich early Saturday morning. And headed north on Highway 21 to Wiarton. This road will take you to Tobermory. About 2o miles north watch for the Lions Head turnoff. The Lions Head Inn was formerly a boarding house and is situated on the main street. There was plenty of parking - my motorcycle was'nt alone this day. This is a favorite place for the 'biking fraternity'. There was a 'indoor-outdoor' patio- which was in full use on such a beautiful day!!! Once in the bar area it was quite impressive-the owners had maintained the old decor. The old tin ceiling was still intact -the orginal cornise work was in place-the old light fixtures. The menu board had 'lunch specials'-from 'New York Cut Steaks' to the 'Best Hamburger' on 'The Bruce Peninsula'. After I looked at the beer menu-a really nice selection. There was both English-Scottish beers on tap!! Along with the locally brewed lagers and ales! For lunch I had Fish& Chips along with a pint of my favorite 'Tennatt's Lager. The summer hours are 11.00 a.m-11.pm-7 day week!! Come and enjoy!!! MWD

Hawgs Breath Saloon 894 Queen Street Kincardine Ont.
The 'Hawgs Breath' pub -[or saloon]. Is on the main street in Kincardine. This business has been a'tradition'for some year's now.I have'frequented' The Hawgs Breath' -on motorcycle day trip's . It was alway's a nice 'waypoint' of which to stop and see what they had on 'tap'. On this particular Saturday night-Diane and I decided to stop in for a 'half'. There was a good 'lively' crowd- 'in the house' . Although small in design- there is seating for perhap's 50-60 people. Diane and I found seats at the bar- ordered our drink's and enjoyed!! Big bin's of peanut's were close by- a nice treat with the beer. There was a nice selection of local- and imported beer's on tap. Along with that was an'appreciable' selection of Single Malt Whisky's!! The food menu did'nt look overly exciting!!! However I may have missed somthing!! This 'pub' is missing a patio.!!! Enjoy MWD

The King's Pearl -Pub& Eatery 71 King St. Tiverton Ontario
The King's Pearl Pub was a 'out of town' 'pub' that I had discovered about two year's ago. It was either due to bad weather-or in the middle of construction' that I did'nt stop in for a pint!! That aside'The King's Pearl is situated at the crossroad in Tiverton on Highway21- Travel north of Kincardine 10 miles .Here is a nicely restored old century home-that was once a bank. And even further back in time a funeral home! On a very chilly Saturday morning. Diane and I set out from Goderich-and arrived in Tiverton for 'a light lunch' We took seats at the Bay Window's-looking at both lunch and beverage menue's .After ordering our drink's. Diane had a Sleeman's Light-and I had a pint of Steamwhistle. We then got a order of Bruschetta[ baguette] that would have quite easily served four people!! The bar menu was mostly 'FingerFood'-chicken wrap's-sandwiches-nacho's.And the ever popular chicken wing's .The manager Donna Hendry was telling us that on the weekends the patio was open -with local entertainment-which saw the parking lot full and over flowing . This is a nice 'little pit' stop for a beer. And I do recommend the Bruschetta !!! Cheer's MWD
