Albion Hotel Bayfield Ont.
This is my second stop in the small 'Hamlet' of Bayfield A very pleasant addition to the Albion Hotel is their out-door patio' While taking in the local 'comings and goings' . I was given the beer menu. A very impressive choice' There was English Ales - Scottish Lagers- Plus a great selection of locally brewed beers . My selection was a local beer called Waterloo Dark The Innkeeper Kim always keeps the best in stock Take a look at the bar lunches-nicely priced If your on your 'scooter' or out for a drive-check out the Albion By the way the Albion is Maple Leafs tolerant'''

Ah, yes, The Albion - a bastion of old Bayfield.
ReplyDeleteI have been there several times - all interesting, all cozy, and all quite tasty as I recall. I can remember having a tour of the recently renovated rooms in The Albion - quite a few years ago now - but I was very impressed with how lovely they were. They kept to the old traditions, yet were bright and crisp as well. Very cozy indeed. I might have stayed there with my sweetheart, but we both lived in Goderich at the time and staying overnight in Bayfield, a mere 12 miles south, would have seemed ridiculous. Excellent place to enjoy a cold pint on a hot summer day, though! I agree.
